Understanding Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of a machine-to-machine communications (M2M) deployment is essential to judging the true value of a M2M solution. Recognizing the hidden costs, companies deploying M2M and IoT programs CAN significantly reduce their costs.
To help IT operations and business development professionals managing M2M and IoT programs gain a better grasp of the TCO for M2M solutions, Aeris Communications, along with the analyst firm IDC, on March 25 presented a Webinar, titled, “Investing in IOT Solutions: Asking the Right Questions to Minimize TCO.”

IDC analyst Carrie MacGillivray, Program Vice President, for IDC Mobility, reviewed a recent IDC workbook on M2M TCO considerations, and Raj Kanaya, CMO of Aeris Communications, outlined theAeris report, “Total Cost of Ownership for M2M Deployments: A Real-World Case Study.”
Kanaya showed that, when examining an Aeris Communications M2M deployment, MNOs and MVNOs can cost as much as 73 percent more than a comparable Aeris solution.
